July 24

So, Bodhi came home with me and we settled into a routine of medication and small, frequent meals. He had an herb to balance his blood Yunnan Baiyao (interestingly enough, the same herb I was given when I was anemic last year). He had to take one medication that had to be crushed then dissolved in water and shot into his mouth without food – one hour before eating or two hours after, every 8 hours. This sounds simple enough but it was ridiculous given the times I needed to get up, to go to work, to sleep…

I stayed home as much as I could for the next few days, only going to work and getting a sitter for the one evening that I had to work some 6 hours in a row. Good friends kept a close watch over Bodhi whenever I was gone. The blood in his urine stopped after just two days. Yay!

I asked my ex to come by in the next week and chop up some wood that I have by the fire pit for the bonfire and also to pick up some wood that a neighbor said I could have earlier this summer. Bob called it a “chop and haul” operation. Yes, even now he still cracks me up sometimes.
