July 20th

Bodhi and I set out around 5:45 pm to go to the dog park. It is about 3 miles from home and we go by bicycle. Bodhi can run fast, but I don’t let him take the lead on a longer ride like this one, especially when I know he will be spending time at the dog park.
We run every other day – strike that – I run every other day, he is just walking quickly beside me. And then a few times a week I try to go out with the bike. He runs alongside attached to the seat post by a WalkyDog. I have clocked Bodhi at 15 mph for as much as a half a mile. He really loves it.
As I said, we were going slower that day because I knew what was coming – we went about 6 mph most of the way. About a quarter mile from the park, we were stopped by an extremely slow train.
When the train finally passed we headed to the park.
